ABOUT OUR NURSERY
Broadfield Academy offers a nurturing environment for your child to learn through play and has been rated a Good by Ofsted. The early years of your child’s life are extremely important in their development. our nursery staff have years of experience teaching Early Years and know how to support the children with their individual needs.
Joining our nursery gives your child the opportunity to grow and develop in school surroundings, helping to prepare for a smooth transition into Reception and beyond.
Hertfordshire County Council are no longer involved with Nursery admission and parents need to apply directly with the school.

WHEN CAN YOUR CHILD JOIN OUR ACADEMY
For children born between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021.
We encourage all parents to visit the school prior to making an application. You can meet our team and see our facilities. We will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.

SEPTEMBER ADMISSIONS
We have a new Nursery intake at the start of every school year. Admissions close for that intake at the beginning of March, children will start Nursery that September.
IN-YEAR ADMISSIONS
If your child is 3+ and you would like them to start nursery mid-year, please get in contact as we sometimes have places available throughout the school year. Please email our office for further information on admissions@broadfieldacademy.org.uk.
NURSERY TIMINGS
Our Nursery currently offer the 15 hours free childcare scheme and as of January 2024, we will offer 30 hours. The times below are available during term-time:

Lunch
If your child is staying for 30 hours or for the paid afternoon session, please ensure that you send your child in with a packed lunch, alternatively we can offer a hot school lunch at the cost of £2.65 per day.
Our son joined nursery in September and has enjoyed every second. He skips happily into school each day and loves his class teachers and new friends. We have seen him develop in so many ways. in confidence, learning new concepts with letter and numbers, but also interacting in different environments and situations. He loves his PE lessons, the Forest School and so much more. he has settled with ease and all made better by the efforts of all staff. We couldn’t have asked for more!
