KS2 Class Teacher

We are looking for a KS2 teacher who will inspire our pupils, nurture their emotional well-being and help them to develop the independence, resilience and confidence, to get on in life.  NQT’s are welcome to apply for this position.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • Hold pupil wellbeing at the heart of their practice.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom practice, including thorough and effective summative and formative assessment for learning.
  • Provide inspiring learning experiences that will meet the requirements of the curriculum and children.
  • Use a range of strategies for teaching and learning.
  • Be responsible for the effective management of children and staff, encouraging them to develop their self-confidence, independence and learning behaviour.
  • Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils in line with Statutory Requirements.
  • Supervise the work of support staff who are assigned to work within the class.

We are seeking a Midday Supervisory Assistant (MSA) to join our lunchtime team. This role involves supervising and interacting with the children outside in the playground, in the dining halls and in the hall supervising inside activities. The ideal candidate will enjoy making lunchtimes a fun, positive, safe time for the chidren.

This is a permanent post working 1 hour per day, 4 days per week (term time only – 38 weeks per year). Working hours will be 12.00pm to 13.00pm, Monday to Friday, excluding Wednesday. The salary scale is HB.

Admin Assistant – part time

Broadfield Academy are looking to appoint an admin assitant 5 mornings a week, you will need to have a warm and approachable personality whilst working in a busy, fast paced environment. We require a team player who is efficient and can maintain a calm demeanour and sense of humour.

The role involves all aspects of supporting the Principal and School Business Officer in admin tasks to ensure the smooth running of the school including:

  • Answering enquiries in person, over the phome and in written communication to all stakeholders including pupils, parents, staff, governors, central trust team.
  • Support the School Business Officer in admin tasks as directed such as inputting pupil’s records, recording dinners and payments, managing the school payments system.
  • Provide cover for the attendance officer when required.
  • Make telephone calls to parents regarding payments, appointments and unwell children.You will preferably have experience of working in a school office but is not essential. Previous admin experience and good working knowledge of ICT packages; Word and Excel are essential. Knowledge of SIMS or Arbor is desirable but not essential.The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, the ability to multi-task, have great communication skills.
