New Guidance Update

Paula Osborn

As you are all aware, the DfE published new guidance yesterday in-line with our national lockdown. I have outlined a few changes below.

Face Coverings:

From tomorrow – Friday 6th November, our expectation is that parents will be required to wear face coverings when they are dropping and collecting their children from school. This is in-line with other schools and expectations outside of school, e.g. shopping etc. However, it is not mandatory, but we do expect all parents to wear face coverings from tomorrow.

Breakfast & After-School Clubs:

Breakfast Club will run a s normal. Parents must wear a face covering when dropping their child off. They must not come inside the school. They can drop their child to the door and then the child needs to walk in by themselves.

After-School Club will run as normal. Parents are not permitted to come inside the school to collect their child. Children will need to collect their belongings and meet their parent at the door. Parents must wear a face covering.

After-School Sports Clubs:

From Monday 9th November, Extra-Curricular Sports Clubs will not run over the lockdown period. Sports clubs will run as normal today and tomorrow. At our school, the following clubs will not take place during the lockdown period:

– Football – Dance  – Karate – Netball – Adventure Club – Pro-Soccer – Dodgeball.

These are the main changes impacting our school as a result of the national lockdown. I will of course continue to update you as and when new information is available, or if we need to make any amendments.

Thank you for your co-operation.
