Dear Children / Parents / Carers

We have had a great first week back! We have settled into routine very quickly. School has been calm and I have enjoyed hearing stories about summer adventures from children. Roald Dahl Day today was lots of fun. It was so lovely to see so many children dressed as their favourite book character. Raising the profile of Reading is so important and such a vital life skill. I would like to thank you for your support and hope you enjoyed this special day too. Mrs Bennett led an assembly to launch Roald Dahl Day and this gave children a consistent message with regards to the pleasure of reading. Roald Dahl has produced a range of iconic books and today took me back to my childhood. Teachers n the school were smiling all day and it is a fantastic end to a positive week. Have a great weekend. Aspire News: Aspire Academies Trust have supported us with financial planning and budgeting this week. All the Principals and Business Officers across the Trust got together to discuss financial planning. Mrs Land, Finance Manager was very informative and honed in on the importance of finances and curriculum development. West Herts Teaching School have supported Subject Leadership training this week and have been welcoming their new trainees and NQTs.
